How Shall We Live Student Art Show

How Shall We Live: Berkshire youth artists explore their relationship with the earth in the time of climate change

In the age of climate change:

• What does nature provide?

• What matters most?

• What are the earth's needs?

• What is resilience?

• Where do you find guidance and inspiration?

180 young artists from 10 local high schools created artworks responding to these questions.

Together they have created a powerful tribute to the connection between the human spirit and the miraculous planet which brings forth life, at a time when both are threatened by climate disaster. This show bears witness to the difficult thoughts and emotions of contemporary youth facing a future of uncertainty, as well as to their resilience, love, and care for the earth.

Date: Festive opening on June 12, 5:00 -7:00 PM. The show runs from June 13 - June 19, most days Noon - 4 pm.

This juried art show is a collaboration between the Clark Art Institute, Living the Change Berkshires, and Cooler Communities. Experience the show at the Clark’s Hunter Studio (April), Pittsfield’s City Hall (May), and Sheffield’s Dewey Hall (June).

Jury: Anne Legêne, Enaya Ogletree, Michelle Raszl, Stephanie Trotto

Made possible with generous support from the Feigenbaum Foundation, Lee Bank, and Greylock Federal Credit Union
