Artists, cultural and community leaders, and senior service providers are invited to join a cross-sector, countywide conversation to explore the proven benefits of creative aging for older adults across Berkshire County, where 35% of residents are over 60.
SHEFFIELD, Mass. More than one in three Berkshire County residents is over 60. That is a major part of our community, and a major opportunity. On Tuesday, November 10, Dewey Hall, in partnership with Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts (MCLA) and Barrington Stage Company, will bring regional artists and organizations together to launch Advancing Healthy Aging Through the Arts in the Berkshires, a multi-phase initiative to catalyze creative aging programming across the county. This event is for artists, arts and cultural organizations, senior centers, health and human service agencies, libraries, faith communities, and those who want Berkshire County to be a place where people thrive at every age.
